Ronnie Mena is a Los Angeles-based artist working in a range of fields from traditional and digital illustration to face and body art. As a renowned face painting and body artist, Mena is noted for his clean line work and unique style of blending traditional painting techniques with theatrical makeup techniques.
Mena's creative adventures stem from his love of comic books, video games, literature, and, of course, unicorns!
"As a child, I was always shy about being drawn to things that were considered feminine or deemed not for boys. Unicorns were the things that truly captured my imagination. However, as I didn't have the courage to ask for them in the form of toys, I would draw them instead. This was my way of having them in my world - by creating them. This book is dedicated to my childhood self and all the young artists out there who create the world in which they want to live."
