Henna powder should be stored in a cool, dark place until ready to use. Once mixed, henna paste should be stored in the freezer until ready to use.
*A note about PPD-
PPD(or para-phenylenediamine) is a chemical that some people add to henna in an attempt to create a darker stain and is often called “Black Henna.” This additive can cause major allergic reactions, which can lead to horribly painful burns and blisters and permanent disfiguring scars. Henna is NEVER BLACK and only comes in a few natural shades of light orange to dark brown.
Always make sure that the henna you use on yourself and others is all natural, organic henna powders with no additives.
